Shaping the Future – Borenius Continues its Partnership with JA Finland

We are excited to announce that our partnership with JA Finland (Nuorten yrittäjyys ja talous NYT) continues. JA Finland is a national influencer with the goal of helping children and young adults develop their skills in economics and working life and encouraging interest in entrepreneurship. Their work is incredibly valuable, and by supporting their activities, we want to offer children the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a leading Finnish law firm.

By fostering economic understanding and entrepreneurial spirit among the younger generation, we are contributing to the development of future leaders and innovators. This initiative also reflects our commitment to societal impact and sustainable business practices and further strengthens our goal that the legal field can play a significant role in shaping a responsible and inclusive business landscape.

JA Finland provides elementary and secondary schools with up-to-date teaching materials that promote financial, social, and life skills in addition to operating JA’s Yrityskylä learning environments for sixth and ninth graders. The JA’s Yrityskylä learning environment for sixth graders, in which we operate, is a miniature city where students choose a profession and work to earn money in addition to learning how to act as consumers and citizens in the Finnish society.

Once students advance to the ninth grade, the JA’s Yrityskylä learning environment becomes a more advanced simulation where students compete in managing a global company. The winning team is the one with the best reputation and a good operating profit.
