Borenius and the Helsinki Pride Community Celebrate Five Years of Cooperation

We have worked with the Helsinki Pride Community for the past five years as one of its main partners, and our journey towards an equal society continues in 2023. These years have been full of learning, and we are constantly seeking new ways to best contribute to a more equal and non-discriminatory society as an organisation.

As one of the main partners of the Helsinki Pride Community, we are committed to promoting inclusion and advancing the rights and wellbeing of sexual and gender minorities. For us, this means providing legal advisory services to the Helsinki Pride Community on a pro bono basis around the year.

The Helsinki Pride Community is in charge of organising the Helsinki Pride event in June each year. The theme for this year’s Helsinki Pride event is Joy & Riot. Joy highlights the happiness that we feel when we are equal, seen, and proud, whereas riot represents our right to exist, be seen, and heard – and honours the history and roots of the Pride movement.

Over 100 different events will be organised in June, including workshops, exhibitions, gatherings, and seminars, before the Helsinki Pride event culminates in the ultimate party of the year – the Helsinki Pride parade will be held on 1 July this year.
