Borenius acted as the legal counsel in the formation of a joint venture regarding Shopping Centre Hansa

We acted as the legal counsel in a transaction where the largest owners of Shopping Centre Hansa, located in Turku, established Kauppakeskus Hansa Ky to own and operate their holdings in the shopping centre. The real estate transferred to the joint venture, previously owned directly by Veritas Pension Insurance, Åbo Akademi University Endowment and Elo Mutual Pension Insurance, is valued at approximately EUR 180 million. Debt finance was provided by Handelsbanken.

The portfolio will be managed by Exilion, a property management company owned by Finnish institutional investors. After this transaction, the aggregate value of the portfolios under its management amounts to over EUR 500 million.
