Borenius advised Accent Equity on its acquisition of Helkama Bica Oy

We advised Accent Equity on its acquisition of Helkama Bica Oy and its subsidiaries in Holland, Belgium and China. The management of Helkama Bica Oy will co-invest alongside Accent Equity and continue to develop the company.

Helkama Bica Oy is specialized in marine, industrial and telecom cables and applications for Finnish and foreign customers. Helkama Bica operates three production facilities as well as operates service hubs in key regions,  flexibility, value-add and a one-stop-shop opportunity to its customers. The Helkama company dates back to 1905 and Helkama Bica’s turnover was 83 M€ in 2023 and it employs 240 professionals.

Accent Equity is a Swedish private equity firm and invests in Nordic companies where a new partner or owner can serve as a catalyst. The firm specializes in add-ons, buyouts, and growth capital investments. The firm invests in the consumer services, packaging, transportation, logistics, information technology, and software sectors across the Nordic region. Since the establishment in 1994, a total of six funds have been raised with total commitments exceeding EUR 1.5 billion and the funds have invested in 91 companies.
