Borenius advised Lahti Energia on the purchase of heat generation business from Koskisen

We advised Lahti Energia on the purchase of heat generation business to its fully-owned subsidiary Pilke Energia Oy. Through this purchase Pilke Energia becomes the heat producer to Koskisen’s facilities and also district heating supplier to the municipality of Kärkölä. The annual heat production of the purchased power plants is 200 GWh.

Lahti Energia is one of the largest municipal electricity companies in Finland selling electricity throughout the country. It concentrates on environment friendly renewable energy. In addition to own power plants and distribution networks, Lahti Energia owns shares in windfarms, hydro, and nuclear facilities. It is also an energy partner to several large industrial companies.

Koskisen is a family-owned over a 100-year-old wood manufacturing company with annual turnover of EUR 264 million.
