Borenius advised Liquid Sun on a nearly EUR 4 million seed funding round

We advised Liquid Sun, a Finnish technology company, on its latest seed funding round, in which the company secured nearly EUR 4 million to advance the development of Finland’s first eSAF (sustainable aviation fuel) production testing facility.

Liquid Sun aims to be at the forefront of the sustainable aviation fuel market, which is projected to grow from EUR 2 billion in 2030 to over EUR 60 billion by 2050. The company is pioneering the production of eSAF using its innovative low-temperature electrolyzer technology, aiming to position Finland as a leader in this rapidly expanding sector.

The funding round was led by Voima Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in clean technology, with significant contributions from Failup Ventures and Business Finland. This investment will enable Liquid Sun to scale up its eSAF production capabilities and support Finland’s emission reduction goals.
