Borenius advised Suohki (Suomen Hyvinvointikiinteistöt) on its acquisition of the Cleantech Garden development project
We advised Suohki (Suomen Hyvinvointikiinteistöt) on the acquisition of the Cleantech Garden development project from NCC. The premises will be located near the Kivenlahti metro station in Kiviruukki, Espoo, and will comprise approximately 14,000 sqm of high-quality educational, research and office space and a related parking facility. The acquisition is based on an approximate property value of SEK 900 million (EUR 82 million) and the project is expected to be fully completed during Q2/2027.
The City of Espoo will be the largest tenant of the multi-use property, with the premises leased by it serving as an upper secondary school for some 1,200 students. Another significant portion of the premises will be occupied by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland for research and office purposes. Cleantech Garden’s design puts emphasis on sustainability and energy-efficient solutions. Upon its completion, the main building is expected to receive BREEAM Excellent certification as well as qualify for energy class A, with green financing by OP Corporate Bank having been obtained for the project.
