Borenius advised the Terrieri fund on the lease of Hotel AX to Strawberry

We advised Terrieri Kiinteistöt LP, an alternative investment fund managed by S-Bank Fund Management, on the 20-year lease of the Hotel AX hotel property to Strawberry. The hotel property contains 173 rooms and it is located in the Jätkäsaari area of Helsinki.

In 2019, the construction of what would become Finland’s foremost hotel in art and culture began. In 2022, the first guests checked in at Hotel AX. The unique hotel was developed in collaboration between leading Finnish contemporary artists, and it was created with the aim of being the gateway to Helsinki’s art world. From day one, the hotel has been an appreciated addition to the Finnish hotel offering and an important part of creating the new vibrant Jätkäsaari district. Recently, the hotel also received the Finland’s Leading Design Hotel 2023 award at the World Travel Awards. Hotel AX will become part of Strawberry’s portfolio of independent hotels, i.e. its Nordic Hotels & Resorts portfolio, which comprises some of the Nordics’ most prominent hotels, such as Hotel Kämp, Villa Copenhagen, Copperhill Mountain Lodge and Sommerro.
