Borenius advised Yangshengtang Co., Ltd on its investment into Nordic Koivu

We advised Chinese Yangshengtang Co., Ltd when its subsidiary, Hong Kong based Windseeker Development Limited, invested in Nordic Koivu, a birch sap producer. The investment makes Windseeker one of the Nordic Koivu Group’s significant minority shareholders.

Windseeker is a subsidiary of YST Group, a major Chinese group with investments e.g. in bottled water, healthcare products, food and snacks, bio-pharmaceuticals, skincare and cosmetics, agriculture and other research fields. One of the YST Group’s investment targets is Nongfu Spring, a leading packaged drinking water and beverage company, which is listed on the HK stock exchange. Another is Beijing Wantai, a company that specialises in the diagnostic and vaccine industry and is listed on the Shanghai stock exchange.

Nordic Koivu, founded in 1996, produces high-quality birch sap as a ready-to-drink consumer product and as an ingredient used in the beverage and cosmetics industries.
