Borenius represented Jyväskylän Voima Oy in a shareholder loan dispute

We successfully represented Jyväskylän Voima Oy (JVO) in an arbitration concerning a shareholder loan.

JVO’s shareholder had granted a shareholder loan to JVO. The former shareholder had since sold its stake in JVO and now argued that it had the right to claim back the shareholder loan and, furthermore, that it would be unreasonable under the Finnish Contracts Act if it did not receive back the shareholder loan it had previously granted.

With our assistance, JVO won the arbitration in full and all claims against it were dismissed.
