Borenius represents NCC and Interasfaltti in the asphalt cartel case

We represent NCC Roads Oy and Interasfaltti Oy in the precedent-setting asphalt cartel case, which forms one of the largest antitrust follow-on damages cases in Finland. The case concerns, inter alia, the principle of economic succession in an antitrust follow-on damages case, which has now been solved for the first time in Europe.

Helsinki Court of Appeal did not accept the economic succession in an antitrust follow-on damages case. Therefore, Helsinki Court of Appeal dismissed the claims directed at NCC Roads Oy. The claims directed at the dissolved company Interasfaltti Oy, currently in continued liquidation, were also dismissed as being time-barred.
